About Us
The Carmel Outlands is a community-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring and operating the historic Flanders Mansion as a low-impact cultural, educational, and video production-enabled resource for public benefit. While the city administration has not yet selected us to manage the property, we are diligently organizing and expanding our resources in anticipation of a major restoration effort in 2025. Our mission is to provide public access to the Flanders Mansion in harmony with the residential neighborhood for the benefit of the people of Carmel-by-the-Sea.
