Bittner, the Pleasure of Writing was founded in 1991 by the current owners. The business began humbly in a Gazebo in Carmel, CA. Then in 1998, the owners custom designed and built the current location in the heart of Carmel. The unique space with its entry plaza is a landmark in Carmel, attracting thousands of tourists and writing aficionados.
