Dermatologist Dr. Julie Kenner will speak at an event of the California Arts and Sciences Institute (CASI): addressing both cosmetology and oncology issues. She will show how our health system tends to segregate medicine into separate organs, such as heart, brain, and skin; however, these are connected, such that an inflammation can impact another organ system. Comprehensive healing involves recognizing this interdependence.
The human body is a remarkable system, and given correct inputs, it can often renew itself. This concept of “regenerative medicine”- the focus on supplying the body with the tools to heal itself rather than focusing solely on suppressing disease with medications targeting a single organ.
When our bodies don’t have correct nutrition, it results in fatigue, mental fog, weakness, and susceptibility to illness or tissue breakdown- as well as suboptimal responses to dermatological treatment. Dr. Kenner’s practice provides “Inside-Out Dermatology”. By optimizing our inner health with proper vitamins, peptides, hormones, and growth factors, we can optimize our outer health and beauty, and ensure not just an improved lifespan, but an improved “HealthSpan”.
Dr. Kenner has extensive international academic experience, with diverse scientific and medical accomplishments. She holds both PhD (Boston University) and MD (George Washington University) degrees and is a board-certified dermatologist and fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She has published extensively on a variety of medical topics and created patents and trademarks and has decades of experience in the areas of clinical medicine, patient education and product formulation. Dr. Kenner served in the U.S. Army for nine years, and through the military, was among the first in the US to use telemedicine regularly to serve patients remotely. The offerings of this next generation clinic include many in-person regenerative medicine and dermatology offerings, tele dermatology, and a one of a kind SkinHappy Discovery Center, with interactive learning, personalized health assessments, proprietary retail offerings, and customized aesthetic treatments.
