DESCRIPTION:Dermatologist Dr. Julie Kenner will speak at an event of the California Arts and Sciences Institute (CASI): addressing both cosmetology and oncology issues. She will show how our health system tends to segregate medicine into separate organs\, such as heart\, brain\, and skin\; however\, these are connected\, such that an inflammation can impact another organ system. Comprehensive healing involves recognizing this interdependence.\n\nThe human body is a remarkable system\, and given correct inputs\, it can often renew itself. This concept of "regenerative medicine"- the focus on supplying the body with the tools to heal itself rather than focusing solely on suppressing disease with medications targeting a single organ.\n\nWhen our bodies don't have correct nutrition\, it results in fatigue\, mental fog\, weakness\, and susceptibility to illness or tissue breakdown- as well as suboptimal responses to dermatological treatment.
