Interfaith Outreach of Carmel is an organization of diverse faith communities joined together to address cooperative, constructive, and positive interaction of spiritual and practical needs in Monterey County. We have identified people experiencing homelessness as a major need; therefore, IOC provides grants to agencies with emphasis on providing housing resources. By being outreach leaders within our community our goals include aiding in creating solutions, stimulating public awareness, and raising funds to provide grants that fulfill our mission. Since its formation in May 2007, the faith communities of the IOC have joined hands to support each others' events.

To further its mission to support the community,
"...joining hands to reduce homelessness",
in 2010 the IOC opened a benefit shop named Joining Hands Benefit Shop in Carmel, California. The purpose of Joining Hands Benefit Shop is to be a fundraising component of IOC.
