About Us

Founded in 1950 by a group of local residents concerned for the well-being of their aging neighbors, The Carmel Foundation has a rich history of serving our community. Although both the needs and interests of our members have changed over the years, our desire to facilitate an active and healthy lifestyle is integral with our goals and vision for the Foundation. For those young at heart, one can learn something new, meet new friends and enjoy a delicious meal via our onsite lunch program, a variety of 50+ activities offered weekly, a Tech Center, and tours to local points of interest. For those in need, we offer a variety of vital support services including 50 low-income apartments, free medical equipment loans and meal delivery to those homebound. The programs and services offered impact those who are filling their days with meaningful activities and camaraderie with their peers to those who need additional support to age gracefully. The Carmel Foundation is a membership organization.
