I am an award winning local plein air painter residing in The Hills of Steinbeck for 25 years. My work is impressionistic bordering in abstraction. Oil paint with an array of palette knives, brushes and whatever I can get my hands is my way of conveying what I see. After rendering my vision in bold shapes and color I deconstruct the painting adding texture and angst. There is something exhilarating about spending 3 hours of my day capturing all that energy and beauty that our peninsulas has to offer.
I am also a member of the Carmel Art Association .
Originally I am from South Africa but have called The Monterey Peninsula for 35 years.
