The Carmel Foundation Sparks Joy with Annual Joy of Giving Fundraising Auction

“The joy you give is better that the joy you get”…at least that’s the spirit behind The Carmel Foundation’s Annual “Joy of Giving” Virtual Auction. The Carmel Foundation’s virtual auction is perfectly timed for the holiday shopping season, the auction opens Friday, November 29, 9:00am on carmel2024.ggo.bid and wraps Sunday, December 1, 9:00pm.
 
As for the joyous gifts, those are from the very generous local community. Kim Stemler, President/CEO of The Carmel Foundation, formerly the Executive Director of Monterey County Vintners and Growers Association, enlisted winery friends from Bernardus Lodge, Caraccioli Cellars, Pisoni Vineyards and Holman Ranch to offer exclusive, one-of-a-kind tours and tastings. Schied Vineyards joins in with a reserve tasting paired with a curated cheese platter from the Cheese Shop and the Foundation’s Board of Directors offers a premium wine collection under the theme “Board Choice.”
 
Carmel restaurants once again stepped up in full swing with gift certificates for intimate dinners and group gatherings for up to 10. Some of the celebrated participants include Michelin-starred Chez Noir, Roy’s at Pebble Beach, Stationaery, Grasing’s, La Playa Carmel, Mission Ranch, Portabella, Catch, Anton & Michel, Carmel Belle…other peninsula dining spots include Woody’s, Sandbar and Grill, La Mia Cucina, Fishwife, and Kona.
Unique experiences are plentiful this year, with exclusive opportunities like lunch with Secretary Leon Panetta, Congressman Jimmy Panetta, and Carmel Police Chief Paul Tomasi. A “Big Sur Getaway” package features a private tour of the iconic Emile Norman House, a night at Deetjen’s, and lunch at Nepenthe. It's the Monterey Peninsula, of course there are golf packages!
