Staying healthy as we age isn’t just about treating illness—it’s also about taking proactive steps to protect our health and independence. The Carmel Foundation invites the community to “Staying Healthy: The Importance of Vaccinations & Other Preventive Measures” on Wednesday, September 23, at 2:30 p.m. in Diment Hall. The program is free and open to the public, with refreshments served.
Dr. Shoshauna Baer, Chair of the Department of Medicine at Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula (CHOMP), will lead an informative and practical conversation about vaccinations and other preventive measures that can support healthy aging. Attendees will learn which preventive steps are especially important as we get older, why they matter, and what they can do to help protect their health and well-being for years to come.
An internal medicine physician and hospitalist, Dr. Baer also serves as Medical Director for Home Health with Central Coast VNA & Hospice.
