Ribbon Cutting: Sunset Center 100 Years Ceremony

The Carmel Chamber of Commerce is proud to partner with Sunset Center for a special press conference and ribbon-cutting celebrating the 100th anniversary of the historic Sunset School building and the beginning of a five-year journey toward the theater’s centennial in 2031.

Originally built as Sunset School in 1926, this beloved campus has served generations of Carmel residents—first as a place to learn and now as a landmark destination for performances, creativity and community connection.

We invite Chamber members and the community to join civic leaders, arts supporters and special guests as we officially cut the ribbon and kick off this exciting celebration of Sunset Center’s remarkable past, present and future.

The festivities will continue with a free Century of Creativity Community Celebration on Sunday, October 25, featuring live entertainment, family-friendly activities, arts experiences, historical displays and special performances.
