Max's Helping Paws Foundation, which provides financial assistance to people with pets in a health crisis, will hold a joint ribbon-cutting for its office in Carmel with the Carmel Chamber of Commerce and Monterey Peninsula Chamber of Commerce from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, at 26388 Carmel Rancho Lane, Suite D, in Carmel. It celebrates the fifth anniversary of the Foundation, created in 2016 by Dyana Klein and her husband, veterinary internist Dr. Jonathan Fradkin, in memory of their pet, Maximillian. The event will feature music, appetizers and wine and other beverages, a raffle and a chance to meet the staff, board members and volunteers.
