Putts for Paws Invitational

Looking to bring some golf-goofy fun back to AT&T Pro-Am week? Look no further. The Carmel Chamber of Commerce presents Carmel’s 1st Annual “Putts for Paws” Invitational at the Devendorf Park Golf Club.

Join us for an afternoon of laughter, libations, and mischievous mini-golf like you’ve never seen or played! We promise a pawsome party where your only handicap is how seriously you take our canine- and feline-inspired “Putts for Paws” 9-hole course.

There may be no ocean or sand traps guarding our fairways, but you might get saddle-sore giddy-upping to the barn on our “Happy Tails to You Cattle Dog” hole. And serious golfers might just learn the secret to becoming a “scratch” player on our “What’s New Pussycat?” hole.

For players — and spectators cheering them on — there will be tasty bites and mocktail magic at our Putts for Paws Rescue Lounge. Plus, our emergency caddies will be on hand to help hard-core golfaholics survive the round!

Tournament Format:
Two-person teams, one ball, alternate shot. Just like the Ryder Cup. (And if you don’t know what the Ryder Cup is, your team has a much better chance at winning this thing!)

Rules of Play:  
Leave your clubs in the closet! They won’t help you ace our Putts for Paws putting course. You’ll have to putz around using our crazy canine and feline custom clubs.  Your scorecard will have the par for each hole and a maximum score allowed. 

Dress Code:
We are looking for outrageous golf fashion. Think loud, think colorful, think paws-itively spectacular. There will be style points (at least socially).

Entry Fee:
To play in Carmel’s 1st Annual Putts for Paws Invitational, Chamber Member Two-Person Teams are $150 per team.  Non-Chamber Two-Person Teams are $200 a team.  Entry fee includes: Nine-Hole Tournament, Tee Gifts, Winners’ Trophy/Prizes. Plus invitation to an exclusive VIP Pairings Party Monday Evening, 2/9, and the private After Party, Tuesday Evening, 2/10.  Both the Pairings Party and After Party are exclusive to Player Teams and Hole Sponsors. 

Spectators:
While “Putts for Paws” pays tribute to our beloved cats and dogs by helping support local non-profit animal rescue organizations, there are NO DOGS allowed in Devendorf Park.  Violators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent by Big Dog J.F. Devendorf, Founder of Carmel-by-the-Sea, and Head Pro at Devendorf Park!
The good news is that all two-legged family and friends are invited to attend and root on their teams. Visitors to Carmel, and those here for the AT&T Pro-Am are also welcome! There is no charge for wallowing or Woofing at your favorite players.
