Sunset Cultural Center, in partnership with the Emerging Artists Alliance of Monterey, is proud to present Lifelines: Connection, Creativity, Community, a two-month long (January & February, 2023), juried exhibition of emerging artists from around Monterey County whose various forms of art address a central theme of "community." A special gallery reception will be held on Friday, January 27th from 5-7pm,
The Emerging Artists Alliance of Monterey is a vibrant community of artists interested in cultivating new opportunities, ideas, and artists in an open community setting, all while lending emerging and underrepresented artists a hand through innovation, exposure, and collaboration. The Emerging Artists Alliance of Monterey aims to bring local, emerging artists together, promote their work, and help them find the exposure and tools necessary to succeed.
As artists, our community is everything: a lifeline to collaboration, creativity, connection, and almost endless opportunity! With this exhibition, the Emerging Artists Alliance of Monterey aims to create an opportunity for local artists to share their work in a historical venue, The Marjorie Evans Gallery at the Sunset Center. The Sunset Center entertains a varied audience of visual and performing art patrons, both local and international.
The Marjorie Evans Gallery can be accessed Monday through Friday from 10am-4pm. Masks are strongly encouraged. For more information, email info@sunsetcenter.org or call the Administrative Office at (831) 620-2040.
