I Cantori di Carmel and Music Director Daniel Henriks invite you to a landmark production of Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana. Performing at the historic Forest Theater in Carmel, this production brings together over 130 musicians to explore the timeless themes of fate, fortune, and the human spirit.

Carmina Burana is a work of massive scale and visceral power. From the famous, driving rhythms of "O Fortuna" to the delicate beauty of the solo sections, the music is both cinematic and deeply moving. Hearing this score performed outdoors in the forest adds a raw, natural intensity to the experience that you simply cannot find in a traditional concert hall.

The performance features a distinguished trio of soloists: soprano Ashley Fabian, tenor Chris Mosz, and baritone Ethan Vincent. Each brings exceptional vocal power and dramatic clarity to this demanding work. This production also marks the debut of our youth chorus, I Cantorini, performing alongside our professional soloists and full orchestra.

The Full Experience While the music is the centerpiece of the evening, we invite you to arrive early and enjoy the unique atmosphere of the Forest Theater. Doors open 90 minutes before each performance. The grounds will feature a pre-concert environment inspired by the themes of the music, including song circles and wandering performers reminiscent of a medieval gathering.
