“Hunt Slonem d’Elegance!” New Paintings Release and Charity Fundraiser

Gallery MAR Carmel, Carmel Home Collection and CASA San Benito County are pleased to announce we are joining forces to create “Hunt Slonem d’Elegance” -- a progressive exhibition and fundraiser to bring you a celebration of world-renowned artist Hunt Slonem.
 
We begin at 4 p.m. at Carmel Home Collection, on Ocean Avenue just west of Dolores, with opening bids in a silent auction for the Hunt Slonem painting “Sherry” (value $7775). Auction proceeds benefit CASA San Benito County.
 
At 6 p.m. the party moves to Gallery MAR Carmel, on Dolores just South of Ocean, for an all-champagne reception, a reveal of ten (10!) new Hunt Slonem paintings and the culmination of the silent auction.
 
Mr. Slonem is considered one of the founders of the Neo-Expressionist painting movement.
With work in the permanent collections of over 250 museums world-wide, including the Metropolitan and the Guggenheim, he is one of the most recognized and yet still collectable artists working today.
 
Hunt Slonem’s passion for design is also well-known; he took over an entire floor at the Manhattan Neiman Marcus store two years ago with his home goods and artwork.  He has purchased and completely redesigned 6 historic mansions in the South and Northeast.
 
Even though Mr. Slonem won't be here – he does not travel much any longer - you will have access not only to ten of his never-before released paintings, but also his books, furniture, pillows, fabric, drink trays, tableware, etc. etc.  “Hunt Slonem d’Elegance” indeed!
