Exhibition and Artist Talk: The Dog Days of Summer

On View: August 3 – September 8, 2024
Special talk by Peter Fetterman, Carpenter Hall, Sunset Center, Carmel
Saturday, August 3, 3:00 – 4:00pm
Opening Reception: Saturday, August 3, 2024: 4:00 – 6:00pm
It's what you've been waiting for, Carmel! A dog show! Stop by the gallery in August to see images by some of your favorite photographers, both legendary and local. Not only do you have the chance to see vintage photographs by Elliott Erwitt and William Wegman (think Weimaraners in chef’s hats cooking in the kitchen), but some our beloved local artists are in this show too. One of them even has a whippet named “Ansel Adams” (that’s right, the very person who started the photography gallery in the Sunset Center in 1967!) We've even got a picture of your favorite dog lover, Doris Day, with her poodle Smudgie! In a convertible, no less!
