About Carmel Youth Center
Founded in 1949, Bing Crosby started the Carmel Youth Center as a local organization that provides services to children from all over the Monterey Peninsula. The center teaches our children the important lessons in life.  It is a nurturing environment that boosts curiosity, builds confidence, and helps to develop the life skills to grow up in this ever changing and uncertain world. While Crosby was the guiding force behind the center, many community members actively participate and continue to provide programs to meet the emerging needs of young people in our community.

About Leadership Carmel
Leadership Carmel is a nine-month professional development program designed to support current and future leaders in business and other community organizations by developing their leadership skills, local knowledge, and professional networks. An important aspect of this program is to create and execute a project which will give back to the city of Carmel and its community.

The Leadership Carmel Class of 2022 includes: Annee Martin (Sanctuary Vacation Rentals and Ami Carmel), Caron Crocquet (Hayashi Wayland), Cody Gappa (Hare Construction), Heather Moody (Monterey Credit Union), James Kendall (Mahoney & Associates Commercial Real Estate), Tony Peña (Sotheby’s International Realty), and Yvonne Patnaude (Carmel Youth Center). Program Directors include Barry and Jeanne Frew (Frew & Associates)
