The October 28th free event will take place at the Community Shared Spaces in the Carmel Barnyard. The event is open to the public and will take place between 3:30 pm and 5:00 pm. It is geared toward interested middle schoolers, high schoolers, and college students, with the adult public also welcome to attend. After the keynote presentations, there will be time to meet our featured speakers: Katie Bruzzone will speak on CASI's art theme of Coastal Inspiration, and Michael Hogan will speak on biotechnology. Subsequent to the keynote presentations, California Arts and Sciences Institute mentors in science and economics will be present to discuss the 2024/2025 CASI Student Writing Contest.
Art Mentoring: Students interested in next year’s CASI Student Art Contest can ask questions about the 2024/2025 new contest. The CASI Student Art Project Manager, Katie Bruzzone, and noted Carmel artist Jennifer Perlmutter will oversee the art mentoring.
