CASI’s Summer Gala will be a deep dive into sustainable home interior design, and fire resistant structural and landscape design. The live event will be held in a fabulous new home in the gated community of Monterra on July 11 at 4:30 pm.
Featured speaker Ashley Yeates is an American lawyer-turned-designer celebrated for her innovative approach to sustainable and mindful design. Originally pursuing a career in law, Ashley’s path took a transformative turn as she discovered her calling in interior and furniture design. The skills gained in her legal education have been instrumental in her success as a designer and entrepreneur.
Ashley’s design philosophy centers around the belief that good design is not just about aesthetics but creating durable structures capable of withstanding natural disasters and ever-changing trends. She incorporates sustainable practices and materials into her designs, aiming to reduce waste and create healthier living environments. Her furniture line, The Ashley Yeates Collection, exemplifies this commitment by offering pieces that are both stylish and environmentally responsible. Yeates created the slogan: “Rise Above Fast Furniture, Fads and Fires, Build A Legacy – The Modern Hepburn”
Ashley “The Modern Hepburn“aspires to impact change in fast furniture and building practices. Through faith and personal experiences, she wants to influence others to think more ethically. Katherine and Audrey Hepburn left a legacy for influential women modeling power through strength, graciousness, and kindness – humbling fame with altruistic efforts. Ashley sees the negative impact of overconsumption and wants to change consumer thinking to less is more. Her logo A backwards Y reflects her goal to create a non-toxic path forward while modeling past craftsmanship. In a world moving towards AI, Ashley chooses to personalize the construction industry and each of our ability to leave the world a better place.
Noted architect David Horobin will participate in the presentation with specifics on structure fire hardening and landscape design concepts key to fire resistance.
