DESCRIPTION:Holi Moli: Beginner's Mind\, an exhibit focusing on expressionism\, na ve and innocent art as spiritual expressions\, opens October 28th at the Carl Cherry Center for the Arts. A reception will be held at from 5 to 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.\n\n\n\n\nHighlighting both the artwork of children and nationally-recognized artists\, the exhibit including paintings by Sam Tchakalian\, Sarah Klein\, Tom Nakashima\, Ken Hale\, Tracey Adams\, Al Carter\, Judith Foosaner\, and students from Forest Grove Elementary School in Pacific Grove\, among others.\n\nOriginally\, naive art was any form of visual art that reflected a fresh and innocent vision of the world and was created by a person who lacked or rejected traditional understanding in portraying those objects.
