SUMMARY:Central Coast Solo Festival
DESCRIPTION:The first night of the Central Coast solo Festival features Nurse Noelle & the Whispering Catholics\, written and performed by Karen Devaney\, is a funny\, poignant\, and deeply human journey through the memories of a young nurse caring for an unforgettable collection of patients. \nInspired by Devaney's own experiences as a registered nurse\, the play moves between hospital rooms\, remarkable characters\, and moments that range from the hilarious to the heartbreaking. As Noelle revisits the people who shaped her life in nursing\, the boundaries between memory and the present and perhaps even between the living and the dead begin to blur.\n\nAt its heart\, Nurse Noelle & the Whispering Catholics is a story about the extraordinary intimacy of caregiving\, the patients we never forget\, and the unexpected ways they remain with us long after we leave their rooms.\nIn addition Talia Pura will perform La Femme Shakespeare Blending Shakespeare's language with humor\, physical storytelling\, and contemporary theatricality\, Pura explores the women\, relationships\, passions\, and contradictions that inhabit the Bard's world. Moving between characters and perspectives\, she brings a fresh voice to familiar material while inviting audiences to see Shakespeare from an entirely different point of view.
