DESCRIPTION:Opening Reception Awards\, and Walk-Through\n\nSaturday\, April 20\, 2024 4:00   6:00pm\n\n\n\nPlease join us as we celebrate the winning photographs from the 2024 Members' Juried Exhibition! This year's juror\, Catherine Couturier\, selected 45 photographs (including lots of bold landscapes\, dramatic portraits\, unbelievable still lifes\, and wild experiments in photography) for the gallery exhibition\, from over 2600 entries submitted by photographers (our members!) throughout the United States and abroad. Prints are traveling from as far away as Ireland and the UK. 45 additional juror selections will be on view on our website starting April 20. A catalog of the gallery exhibition and online images is available for purchase.\n\n \n\nJuror Catherine Couturier\, the owner and director of the Catherine Couturier Gallery in Houston\, Texas\, had no small feat whittling down the thousands of entries to just 45 pieces to hang on our gallery walls. The selected works represent a multitude of different styles of photography\, from the earliest photographic processes (tintypes and cyanotypes)\, to contemporary digitally manipulated work. Catherine will be here on April 20 to announce the award winners and raise a glass to the artists.
