Event Description:
Matt McConnell will present the current state of the western population of the North American monarch butterfly. He will discuss their life cycle, life history, human impacts, and what you can do to help the monarchs that visit over winter near the coast of California. Mr. McConnell has a Master’s in History of Science from Oregon State University and currently works at the Museum as a Community Science and Outreach Coordinator.
